SHOULDER ACTIVATION for SWIMMERS | Lower Trapezius Facilitation

In this video, I’m going to activate my swimmer’s lower trap, the primary scapular muscle responsible for packing the scapular down and back.

A properly packed scapula clears the posterior subacromial space to avoid shoulder impingement with circumduction (as needed for the crawl stroke).

🛠 Progress from PROM, to AAROM, to AROM
🛠 Perform in maximal ER, with the elbow locked
🛠 Facilitate the scapular direction with manual cueing
