SHOULDER MOBILIZATIONS for SWIMMERS | Late Stage Frozen Shoulder

This patient is at the very tail end of adhesive capsulitis. She complains of postero-superior impingement with abduction-external rotation which affects her ability to perform the crawl stroke.

🛠  Technique #1 - I am applying ER through the shaft of the humerus, traction, and then taking the shoulder through its arc in the frontal plane.

🛠  Technique #2 - I am using a mobilization belt to apply a continuous posterior humeral glide, and my left hand to apply traction and keep the joint space open. My right hand is externally retracting the scapula to avoid the posterior impingement during the mobilization.

In the next video… I’ll share the Motor Control Training that I used after mobilizing to activate the lower trap in the newly opened range.
